"It was a most beautiful night, when she walked upon the lawn. The fresh cut grass, the sun setting low, the gentile breeze, all made the night perfect for a feast. So we moved upon her like an army, determined to conquer this fine specimen before us. Little did we know that soon we would see a loss of life that tallied in the thousands. Not only did she swat, she had spray, and then she clapped her hands in mid air catching two to three of our fleet at once. This beautiful, warm blooded meal had quickly turned foe, so we retreated...." This is an exert from "The Battle at Ada" The Life of a Hungry Mosquito. Written after their defeat, this night July 1, 2013. If you would like more you will have to wait for the book, written by Marx Stechmucken, provided he retires from the fleet and lives to write it.
