It was a nice day to be in Canton at the District 14 meeting, seeing folks I have not seen in a while, especially Judges Reader and Miliken, as well as meeting new friends. It was my honor to nominate Chris Hunt for the community service award for attorneys age 40 and under for the Ohio State Bar foundation, he certainly is a deserving young man, giving back to his community in many different efforts, including Y Stark and the University of Mount Union, of which my husband is a proud graduate. President Jonathan Hollingsworth conducted a town hall meeting, asking the lawyers for their issues and how the OSBA could help, and a discussion ensued regarding the length of time it takes for judicial appointments to take place. Several judges in attendance had been appointed by different governors at different times, and had diverse experiences with that process.
