It was a night like this Dec. 31, 1995 I sat and we waited for my next request of God to come to this world. Then the clock struck 12:00 it was a NEW YEAR January 1, 1996 2:34 a.m it happened God had up and done it my star was born Jakell Lenard Mitchell. 1st birth of the year we knew he would be special. Born with big blue eyes had to be forced to cry we knew hed be tuff. Today he wouldve been 19 years old. This is a day that the Lord gave us so for that we will still rejoice and be exceedingly glad in it. The worse thing in the world has happened in our lives our worse fears came true, to have to bury our blessing from God, our son. While we will always remember January 1, 1996 we will always remember for more than just a new year but the day God gave us a gift. Still we wanna thank each of you for your prayer and your soooo solo many acts of kindness through what still seem so sorrel. We thank God for the 18yrs that He allowed us to raise him and make him a good, honest, loving, kind, gentle young man, and we thank you for helping us do that, he was truly village raised because thats what we believe it takes to raise a child right. So thank you!!! His legacy and name will live on forever in our hearts on our mind and throughout our community!!! Happy Birthday Son, we will always love you, and continue to chase that dream for you!!! #LONGLIVEJAKELL!!!!
