It was a privilege to work with TEDxKarachi speakers & team - TopicsExpress

It was a privilege to work with TEDxKarachi speakers & team pre-event & on-ground yesterday. The remarkable stories we were shaping up & final show-down has re-instilled my faith in the goodness & greatness of people around us. Theres no dearth of leaders, theres only a lack of show-casing! Mobeen Ansari - Have a look at his work. See for yourself how his photos are not just the subjects physical existence, but the emotion. You cant help but connect & think. Rabia Aziz-Rizvi - A mother you must meet. Find out from her what the new normal is. What shes been through, how she responded & what she thinks is what we must learn. Daniyal Noorani - Young man laden with ideas & their implementation. You should have a look at Quaid Se Batein. Thanks for teaching us to be humble about our knowledge. Mariam Paracha - She speaks the unspoken in the most fluent manner ever - what a talent! Find out Spoken Stage events to see how shes taking this to schools. Sania Saeed - Truly an artist whos made tough choices to not be swayed by entertainment & the demands of sponsors. She does little but what she wants not, not what is asked to. Naeem Zamindar - Ive always been fond of his presence, how he lights up the place hes at. Yes, we must focus on our inner awareness and not just the external one. Ahsan Jameel - Very informative, depression will be worlds 3rd biggest worry by 2020 & biggest by 2030. It needs to be taken seriously. The trouble comes from the unspoken & we must say it, process it & cleanse it! Tina Sani - Its never too late. Art is not anyones heritage. Who is anybody to tell you when you should do what. Faiz was controlled outrage. Iqbals answers apply today too. Rumi is self-discovery. Jameel Yusuf - The citizen who apprehended over 600 criminals / kidnappers / terrorists & wiped out kidnapping from Karachi in the 90s. Awarded Sittara-e-Jurrat in just 2 years for founding CPLC. Criminals have their patterns - If a Khoja / Gujrati like me could bust them, the criminals really are not high on IQ. Yousuf Kerai - A fabulous musician who believes that the eastern classical music has what it takes & he demonstrated how rich it is. Not too fond of fuzons & popular demands, he and Shahroze got their instrumentals (tabla & sitaar) to interact with each other - Must watch! You can watch it all at new.livestream/tedx/karachi2014/videos/63279930 & also look these individuals up. Event organizers, high time we enrich the content of our events - these 10 names should help!
