It was a race against time to finish my book before 2015- a race that time won. Now its a race to finish by my birthday tomorrow- a race that time looks like winning again. What am I doing? Is it worth rushing the final crucial chapters of my book just to be able to say I finished my third novel by the time I was 44 -a boast that isnt even particularly impressive?. I love deadlines. said the late great Douglas Adams. I like the whooshing sound they make as they fly by. Well, Im not planning to write a word on my birthday. Im going to eat Carrot Cake and Krispy Kremes with my family, go and see Taken 3 and listen out for whooshing sounds.
