It was a trying night chez nous. The kittens are physically - TopicsExpress

It was a trying night chez nous. The kittens are physically recovering fine from being spayed, but the experience freaked them out, so were having some behavior issues. Pixie & Silkie are being fine with me and Riona, a little tense or fussy with my cats, and absolutely AWFUL with each other--snarling, growling, clawing, fighting. (My mom thinks that theyre probably just taking out their stress over this weird experience on each other, since everyone else in this household is bigger and higher up in the pecking order.) Theyve calmed down today and are acting much more normal, but there are still moments where they suddenly get hysterically hostile to each other or Pixie turns into A Demon Cat. I think theyll be their usual selves in a day or two. But last night was weird and everyone here was on edge, since Pixie kept acting like the little girl in the EXORCIST (but without the vomiting, thank goodness), and its creepy to walk past a window at 2am and hear demonic growling coming from the curtains, or from under the bed, or behind the door, or from the closet. Riona has peed three times upstairs since yesterday evening, which is driving me crazy, and I think it may be nerves, since she keeps jumping up when the kittens start acting weird, wondering the the HELL is going ON around here? Achilles is being very cranky and judgmental about all of this: WHY did you bring all these revolting creatures into our home? What were you THINKING? Poe keeps frantically running back and forth, back and forth like a messenger on the field at Agincourt. Only Hector, GOD BLESS HIS EVIL TEMPERAMENT, is behaving normally and thinks everything is fine and there is no reason to panic.
