It was a year ago, that I held my Moms head in my lap as she was fading away to join her heavenly Father, family and friends.. As I held her, I knew how much I truly loved Mom. I watched my brothers lips quiver when he saw Mom, but being the man my brother is he stepped up to the plate. I watched my sisters hold Mom, too, and I knew all four of us shared the same feelings for our Mom. Mom was not perfect, but she instilled values from those she visited in prison while wearing oxygen, to the drunk in the bar, to political dignitaries. Thank you Lord for the 83 years I had with my Mom. I wish there was another 83 years to love and hug on her. John was her soul mate, and with dementia I often wonder what he is thinking.
