It was a year ago today I received the phone call that my sister Julie Borsch had passed away at Sycamore. On August 26 she had a heart attack. They didnt realize she had had a stroke also until 5 hours later. She was paralyzed on her left side. She was a smoker and I did my best to get her to quit. She quit on August 26. But too late. She died that night and the revived her. But she really did die the night of August 26. She would not have wanted to live in a wheel chair the rest of her life. So now I think, what can her death contribute to the rest of us? All I can ask of my friends that smoke is to please stop smoking. And you know who you are. In the end it is your business. Julie was spared a lifetime of confinement in a wheel chair. God gave her mersey and took her home. I dont want visit any more friends or family in nursing homes or hospitals due to smoking related health issues. Hey guess what, I used to do it. I enjoyed it. I stopped. But a time comes when we have to think about our futures and not just the now. Please, if not for me, stop for your loved ones. Stop for the future and change your future. I love you all. ...........that was a public service announcement by Todd Borsch and the Council to Stop Smoking.
