It was amazing! Need more volunteers! Some of my FB friends may recall a few months back we setup a small English and Computer training centre for underprivileged kids in Obesekerapura in Rajagiriya. Yesterday, the first group of kids; five girls and three boys got their certificates. They were amazing! They spoke and sang and even did a few skits in English. They also showed us their abilities on the computers; including a PowerPoint document they had each created. The kids seemed to have just loved the class and the parents were overjoyed. It was Mrs Padma Vidanagamarchchi who almost single handedly got the project off the ground and later Ms Yuwasara Arambawela volunteered in her spare time making a two-person super-team. What a great job! I want to thank the two of them on behalf of all the kids; thank you! More volunteers means more kids who would otherwise be left out learning English and Computers…
