It was an enjoyable weekend with friends, but there is something missing which weighs heavily on my heart. I find myself missing specific aspects of my life, namely time with family. Those who are still with us and especially those who have left us way too early. My brothers, Ed and Paul, were extraordinary people who impacted the lives of so many through the simple actions of being themselves. They both went to great lengths to be there for others with no expectation of anything in return. They were wonderful fathers and husbands. Their families were everything to them, as well, each would have given everything to help an acquaintance in need. They were role models for their children and help-mates to their wives. They were the spiritual leader of their families and expressed their belief in God in every action of their daily lives. I am humbled to have had such wonderful brothers. Yet, I am also ashamed that I have not been more like them. Ed and Paul, I love and miss you. You should never have left so early in your bountiful lives. It is of saddest irony that you two men of God and family should have been taken from your loved ones so early. I ask God daily why such good men as you had to leave your loved ones in such pain of loss when I would have gladly taken your place to leave you with the ones you love. For all of you that may read this remember express your love daily to those in your lives as tomorrow in never promised.
