It was an unlikely place to start a paddling trip, but last week - TopicsExpress

It was an unlikely place to start a paddling trip, but last week Paul, Tom, Kalen and I walked into the massive Selway-Bitterroot Wilderness via its highest peak, Trapper and then another 30 miles to the Selway river put in. A landslide had closed the dirt road to the put in, so we had the place to ourselves for the 8500ft descent from high point to take out. We practically had a wildlife safari with bears, elk, otters, mink, bighorn sheep, and eagles but didt see nearly enough trout.
