It was another day with bitter cold wind chills, but good news is that the medium range trend (until January 20th) is leaning towards warmer than average temperatures. But before we get ahead of ourselves, we still have some interesting weather in the short term. Well stay below zero today, around -4, with tons of sun. Tonight, winds will turn from the S and increase ahead of a small clipper system. We wont get much snow from this clipper, probably an inch at best. That snow will fall during the morning and early afternoon. Once the clipper passes, very strong NW winds will cause blowing snow problems and temperature drops Thursday night into early Friday. Due to winds that may gust as high as 45 MPH, there is a Blizzard Watch from Noon tomorrow until early Friday morning. High pressure will settle in the area for the weekend, moderating our temperatures and providing us more sunshine. Join Mitch Keegan and myself for KEYC News 12 Midday! keyc/weather -Jack
