It was around 7 years ago when I walked into Burts Tiki Lounge and first saw The Porter Draw. They did not have a drummer, and the bassist played an acoustic bass of sorts. I being from Eastern New Mexico, and growing up on Texas country, was instantly in love with their take on good homegrown country music. Now seven years later,and some personnel changes, (They got a drummer, and a weird bassist guy) they are releasing their third album Friday night at the Launchpad. Being a fan I donated to their kick starter campaign, and got to hear some of the tracks off of the new record. Everything I have heard so far is amazing, and it looks to be their best album yet. I look forward to the show Friday, and to many shows in the future. Thank you guys for all these years of great music.
