It was around this time at the end of June 2011 that we took a call from the Pride in Penrith Lottery confirming that we had been successful in our application for £2,500 of funding to go towards the expense of our first 4 week trial licens...e booked for November 2011. The total cost for the Ofcom license was just under £2,400 for the 4 weeks. In addition to these cost we had to raise a further £2,500 to hire equipment and a further £2,500 for PRS, PPL, internet licensing. The grant was the first of two grants received at Eden FM. The second grant was in October in the form of a Community grant fund from Eden District Council of £3,000 towards studio equipment. Both the Pride in Penrith Lottery logo and the Eden District Council have been promoted with commercial sponsors on the Eden FM Outside Broadcasting Vehicle since receiving funding.
