It was bizarre playing at Joes Pub last night. I was feeling very emotional all day and as I was getting ready I remembered that 13 years ago I was scheduled to perform there on 9/11. Obviously the show was cancelled. Life was never the same after that. Im so thankful to the people who showed up last night. I think even now, 13 years later, were still processing what happened. Im so grateful that I have so many wonderful friends who are still in my life from that time. Especially Sammy Jo who lived through it all with me and who came to pick me up after work last night and brought me home to have dinner like normal people do.
