It was brought to my attention that I never posted a memorial at the GLNC facebook page. For those unaware, our boy CH. B.I.G.s Taking It All In Stride RN, CD, WD passed away Dec. 24, 2013. Born Sept. 7, 2004. Strider took us on an amazing journey. Determined to keep a girl from our Onyxs litter, we just couldnt let go of the boy that stood out with such a unique personality. As it turned out, Striders main goal in life was to help his family in every way he could figure out. When I gardened, there he would be carrying a bucket. If I raked, he would grab the tarp and start hauling it to the woods. His ability to figure out how to help in all situations still totally amazes me! He was there to carry grocery bags, mail, and his favorite... purses. I cant count how many times ladies at dog shows would give him their purses to carry around. Good thing he was honest! One of our proudest moments was his winning Best Bred by Exhibitor in show :). Along the way we made good friends, who helped train me to train him for the working events. A heartfelt thank you to each and every one who helped. Every night Strider would sit next to me and gently place his head on my shoulder totally at peace with the world. I look forward to meeting up with him again in heaven. Till then Im sure he is still watching over his family.....
