It was brought to our attention, yesterday, November 3rd, was the 100th anniversary of the death of Austrian Poet Georg Trakl. Since we are all familiar with his works through Sabines passion for his poetry, and her reworking some of his poems into beautiful songs. I came up with a little idea. I wanted to give you a comparison of what the original poem is like compared to a song. I searched YouTube to find some Trakl readings. There are quite a number of them, and all of the poems which inspired the EDS/Elis songs seem to be there as well. I will post the link to the Trakl poem in the comment section below.
