It was close to closing time last night when some dude wanders in - TopicsExpress

It was close to closing time last night when some dude wanders in and said he had run out of gas. I guess he was looking for someone to help him out. It was raining, and he was stranded. There were no takers. I walked out of work and noticed a vehicle with the inside light on, and assumed it was the guy. Lord help me. Why can I not just drive away from a situation like that? I pulled up beside the vehicle. There were two guys in the vehicle. They rolled down their window, and I just asked So do you have a gas can? They said no, but were willing to purchase one. Yeah of course I gave them a ride. I would not have wanted to be stranded in the middle of nowhere on a cold rainy winter night. The kid thanked me several times. I drove him to Certified and waited outside. I could see him at the counter. He dumped a can full of change out. By the time he paid for the container he barely had $2.50 left for gas. When he jumped back in the Jeep, I asked if that was enough gas, and offered to give him a few extra dollars. He thanked me, but said no, he had enough to get him home. He was such a nice kid. I am glad I decided to help the two out.
