It was freezing and windy in DC this morning, but I joined my fellow Democratic Congresswomen in bundling up and walking out to the Capitol steps for our class photo. The 65 Democratic women currently serving in the House is the highest number in our nation’s history. I’m so proud to be a member of this brilliant and dedicated group of women, united in our belief that our government can and must do more to make life better for women and families. That’s why I’ll continue to call for legislation that improves maternity care, guarantees equal pay and paid sick leave, and prevents immigrant parents from being permanently separated from their children.
