It was good to be back at the DZ with my wife again this weekend. I am touched that some of you wondered where I was for the last couple of months. I simply needed a break. I got too much of a steady diet of skydiving. I needed to regain control of my weekends with my wife. We needed to broaden our interests... we now are enjoying road bicycling (a LOT). Apparently someone speculated that my absence was related to a scary experience with a student as an AFF-I. While I have had plenty of scary experiences as an AFF-I, that did NOT influence my decision to step away for a while. However, it sure is fun to jump without having to be responsible for others (beyond the usual looking out for each other). It was a busy weekend: Cindy and I took a 25 mile bike ride on Saturday then made two wonderful freefall jumps that afternoon. On Sunday, she and I made two great CReW jumps and I made an AFF working jump. It is good to be back on our own terms. Thanks for thinking of us! Doorrr! ;-)
