It was in April 2010 the same day my Director (KZN COGTA) called me into a meeting to advise me that they could no longer accept my juggling of the BZNS as it was beginning to affect my work. Needless to say the alternative to stay was a promotion to Assistant Director for Supply Chane with a nice office ready for me. But God had planted a seed not only in my mind and heart but in my Spirit. I walked away from my Job and decided to give the journey my all as I knew since 2005 that I was more of an Entrepreneur than an employee as great as I was as an employee. While this journey has involved so many interesting happenings and people it was the day I shook hands with these Men, these great Men, successful business men in their own right that it all started to take shape..Coming to them literally empty handed with no experience in Business but a vision and asking them to invest in my vision ad walk this journey with me, the old one being the former boss. What astonished me the most in their response was the willingness to be led by me. In February 2012 the journey began, it got tough, ugly at times, all our differences coming to play, from experience, to culture to race to age, gender, you name it, it played its role but we stayed the course, we laughed one day, fought the next but we stayed the course. Today we are beginning to reap the fruits of our labour, we are entering the era of a life we have dreamt of and I cant help but ask myself with Gratitude, Lord why me, why was I the chosen. But through it all I am grateful for my business partners, its not easy to lead the leaders and I have grown tremendously and this is just the beginning of all greatness to come according to His riches and Glory. I wouldnt trade them for anything. We are united in our diversity, we are living the Dream of o Madiba no Tambo. I am tall for I stand on these broad shoulders. Here is to living a dream.
