It was my pleasure to meet Amado Boudou, Vice President of Argentina, Jorge Capitanich (@jmcapitanich), the Chief of the Cabinet of Ministers and his adviser, Theresa Durnbeck, who received Indian delegation headed by me. The purpose of the meeting was to enhance cooperation, business, friendship, ties together with strengthening of the institutional and commercial ties that bind the two countries. India and Argentina share many common as being part of the 10 countries with the largest area in the world and producing highly diversified production matrix and the similarities in terms of investment in space technology that both nations maintain. Both India and Argentina recognize the similarities between the two countries if developing economies based on agriculture and for that reason assigned greater importance to the need to work together on many issues, including, for example, a greater exchange in the field of bilateral trade and cooperation in the areas of science and technology, education, agriculture and culture. Both countries understand the ongoing challenge of energy self-sufficiency and India shall look into expanding on with the Argentine hydrocarbon potential. Besides trade and commercial initiatives, two countries discussed to explore variety of areas which shall pave the way for more employment generation, technological cooperation on Agri and Agri allied sectors and exchange among academic institutions, ensuring better quality of human lives in both countries. India applauds Argentinas recent achievements in reducing unemployment and debt reduction to ensure greater political and economic autonomy. India strongly supports Argentinas position in the case of the Falklands (Malvinas cause) and we believe that the UK should sit down and discuss the situation with Argentina. On behalf of India, I also congratulated Argentina for its entry to the Security Council of the UN. I also invited the Vice President Amado Boudou and Argentina parliamentary delegation to visit India. It is my pleasure to say that the invitation was accepted by the vice president, who promised to try to travel to India by February next year. The Indian delegation consists of fellow parliamentarians Shri Chandu Lal Sahu Ji, Shri Ponnusamy Venugopal Ji, Shri Jitendra Chaudhury Ji, Shri Tariq Anwar Ji, Shri Tapas Mandal Ji, Shri Arvind Kumar Singh Ji, Shri KP Ramalingam Ji and Shri Arvind Kumar Singh Ji along with ambassador of India in Argentina, Amarendra Khatua.
