It was nice to watch the Tigers hold on to a small margin of victory last night and to see the huge boost of confidence in Joe Nathan, who brilliantly got himself out of a real jam in the 9th. I wandered across the Youtube video of the entire 7th game of the 1965 World Series..Its fun to speed through and see the changes in the game. Sandy Koufax pitched for the 3rd time in 7 games, on 2 days rest. At the end of his career, Koufax arthritis was so bad he soaked his undershirt in a special hot sauce concoction before each game to help disguise the pain and keep his elbow and shoulder loose, yet he was still the best pitcher in the game. He pitched all 9 innings, throwing nothing but fast balls, struck out 10 and shut out the Twins. 49 years later, Koufax is a pitching consultant for the Dodgers. https://youtube/watch?v=HeKbktNm0Mk
