It was quite amazing to listen Dr. D. Ashwath, a pediatrician by profession from KMCH, Coimbatore who is particularly interested Genetics, Neonatology and Respiratory diseases, especially wheezing children, in the MAITRI 2015 21st Parenting Conference Organized by IMC. Excellent Speaker with fantastic humor sense and a fabulous doctor, who gave many insights for me mainly as a parent. It was glad to hear a doctor strongly opposing our medication mania to consult doctor and in take N number of pills and syrups day by day. According to scientific studies first 1000 days of a kid is very crucial in his life concerning growth and development. Early 240 days are spent in the womb and remaining 760 days are first 2 years…. He strongly recommended all the mothers to take full time leave from their profession in these crucial 2 years and be with their kids. Your job and duty in the workplace can be substituted by anyone but for your kid motherhood can’t satisfy by anyone other than you my dear mothers. He with his natural humour sense he carped over dependence on online resources like Google (in his words Dr, Google) saying you will find N number of unreliable information from these sources and people are not aware on it , they blindly believe what they found in the Internet is fully true.. He humored the only one question you can’t find an answer from Google (if you are husband) is how to please your wife.. He quoted” God could not be present every where..that is why he created mothers”…… Really amazing in understanding and appreciating motherhood. 6 friends are very crucial in the Mental Growth of a Kid 1. Who 2. What 3. When 4. How 5. Why & 6. Why not Great Indian Philosopher Osho Rajneesh was asked to answer a question in an Examination during his Post Graduate Studies to describe why in 1000 words ? His Answer was only 2 words ………..Why Not? He got full marks for the question.. Hearty Thanks Dr.Ashwath for this fabulous insightful session
