It was really great to see Spike Jonze win for Her. He has been a favorite of mine ever since I saw Being John Malkovich. Spike Jonze can do no wrong in my book. It was also great to see Floyd from True Romance finally get his Oscar for 12 Years A Slave. No, seriously, it was very cool to see Brad Pitt up there with Steve McQueen. Jared Letos speech was one of the best speeches of the night. Very inspiring and very emotional. But the real pleasure was seeing David Wooderson get his best actor Oscar! Yes, there were no surprises, but it was great to see Matthew McConaughey win this thing. He had been written off a while ago. Hes always been likable to me, but a lot of people had written him off until The Lincoln Lawyer. By the way I would love another Mickey Haller film. Hell I would love a spin off of his character and Tom Cruises character from Tropic Thunder for that matter. Never write anyone off! That is what I got from last night! Also, I still love American Hustle and The Wolf Of Wall Street! Also Pharrell and Karen O deserve some kind of special award for waking the place up. Alfonso Cuarón deserved this award long ago for Children Of Men, but glad he finally got this too. I mean he made the best Harry Potter film and Y Tu Mama Tambien is too awesome to forget! Also, got to hand hand it to Ellen for doing her best with a stale format! The Pizza was a nice touch!
