It was so fun to see the beautiful Jenny Ritchie preform last night in St. Gallen, Switzerland!! To get there was quite the adventure in transportation. First, we biked to the harbor with our new sweet bikes ;). Then, we took a 4 hr. ferry boat across the Bondensee stoping at all the cute towns along the lake. We arrived in Bregenz, Austria and took a tram (big gondola thing) up Mount Pfander with views of the Alps and lake. Then hoped on the train to St. Gallen. Had no idea where we were so we took a taxi to the Theater. Arriving just in the nick of time to see a lovely show! Back on the train to Switzerland, walking over the boarder to back to Konstanz, Germany to get our bikes and back home. We dont have our phones with data at the moment, so we cant google where we are every 5 secs. And we left the house just looking at a map, it seemed very simple. Lets go there and pointed. So we were very unprepared we using the public transportation. We may have gotten a free bus ride at some point because we didnt know how to buy tickets. We made our way asking kind strangers where to go, which is always fun and interesting...whether they speak german, french, english...we encountered many friendly and helpful folks. Our German is coming very very slowly... but we start class today!
