On our two-week visit, we took the train from Aix en Provence to Montreux Switzerland as I wanted to go to the Montreux Jazz Festival since we were close by. Wife humored me. I remember standing in a hallway in the arena just before the concert that night, turned around and there was Joe Sample. He looked right at me. I think he was stunned to see second black man in Montreux lol. I played too cool for school and didnt go up to him and shake his hand. Clearly, still regretting such immaturity.
