It was the moment when a friend turned away from me while I was - TopicsExpress

It was the moment when a friend turned away from me while I was speaking mid sentence when I looked over and saw Ricardo Fon, listening. I could have been on my phone and Im not even sure why it wasnt glued to my hand at that time, but I cant tell you how happy I am that it wasnt. Every date we have we see more couples typing away on their screens, I see wifes or husbands looking staring at the phone opposite them, hurt that they arent enough to have their full attention. You have all these great conversations on phones with people that youve met or even people that youve known and when you see them in person, no one bats an eye. No one rolls on the floor laughing from a joke, no one comes up and gives you that big hug that they promised to give you months ago. Phones create boundaries that kill relationships between one another. I applaud those who have strong and successful relationships when their story involves Facebook/internet dating as the base of how they met. Its hard to put down the phone after you used it to find someone you may be with forever, but its even harder to see a person walk out of your life because you have no real connection with them without social media.
