It was unfortunate that a tragedy happened before the government, - TopicsExpress

It was unfortunate that a tragedy happened before the government, such as the Fair Trading and other relevant agencies made an act to stop the fakes and substandard electronic devices flooding the Australian markets. We are paying hefty taxes to safeguard the community from this type of dodgy gadgets. Why and how products like these skip the code of standards? Obviously someone is not doing his/her job to safeguard the public. Ordinary customers would not be able to distinguish which is fake or genuine, all we know is we trust that this is Australia and that the products out in the markets had passed the so called tough QUALITY STANDARDS! We call on tougher regulations on imported and local electronic products. And tougher penalties for manufacturers, distributors and sellers of substandard products that caused the lives of innocent and unsuspecting customers like Cheryl Aldeguer. The Central Coast Filipino-Australian community calls for the Australian government agencies responsible for ensuring products in the markets are safe SHOULD DO THEIR JOB RIGHT! Safety first rather than profits! JUSTICE for Cheryls untimely death and her family!
