It was wonderful to be with Charlie all day. But... Coco Keys Water Park at the Clock Tower: some cool water play, but smdh - 1. The need to be spruced-up are the kindest words to use - the hot tub was brown, chipped, several pool areas were in dire need of repair including an entire pool area surrounded by some reminder of a styrofoam play thing still all around - peeling and breaking off into the water. Dirt at the bottoms of the pools - and we were the first ones in the door - obviously not cleaned from the day before...and I dont even know where to start with the bathrooms 2. They tell you that you cant bring in any outside food or beverages, but the bar was closed and the little snack shack was out of....everything except pizza and nachos, but theyre so poorly staffed that by dinnertime people were waiting 1.5 hours for a pizza....cooked on one of those toast things they have at hotels....so they told the girl to stop taking orders for pizza....but we couldnt bring our own food.... 3. They have rules about people not wearing underwear as bathing suits, but true to form, Rockford came out in boxer shorts, bras, underwear,....no one enforces these rules and its disgusting. There should be a golden rule: if you wouldnt share it with a friend, you shouldnt wear it in a public pool. You know what the difference is between undies and swim suits?? You dont sweat in your swimsuit all damn day underneath other clothes. The lifeguards dont actually enforce many of the rules at all, based on the number of small children we were mowing down on the lazy river because they werent in inner tubes. 4. The hours they have posted online are not their actual hours, but you wont know that until you get here and see a closed sign on the door. Dont bother the Clock Tower desk clerks, though. They arent going to do anything but recommend you catch a movie while waiting and treat you like an idiot for showing up during their advertised hours. 5. This establishment is poorly run, in disrepair, and dirty. The employees were rude, with the exception of the girls who sold us the tickets and the man who unlocked the doors. 6. Oh the humanity!! Please teach you children to say, excuse me when they run into people. Also, the hot tub is not a snorkeling site for your children....awkward as a gyne appointment... 7. I did love the giant bucket thingy, though :-)
