It will be good to take my mind off this midterm election tonight. Im the scheduled guest lecturer at a nonfiction writing class at CCSF. The professors lesson plan includes Gay Taleses Frank Sinatra Has a Cold from Esquire and Jonathan Van Meters profile of Gay and Nan Talese, A Nonfiction Marriage in New York Magazine. Truman Capotes Marlon Brando profile, The Duke and His Domain from The New Yorker and Alexis Magridals assessment of the profile on the Neiman Foundations website, Neimanstoryboard.org, as well as a profile of Capote Capotes Swan Dive by Sam Kashner from Vanity Fair. And my profiles of Courtney Love and Johnny Depp in Vanity Fair and the profile that Laura Holson wrote about me for the Sunday Style section of The New York Times as well as an interview I gave to The Slant website and its editors Stephanie Fairyington and Shirley Velasquez which was called The Method, making me sound a bit like a two-bit Brando myself. Should be interesting .... I hope.
