It would deem appropriate that after the photo I posted last night, I had several personal messages asking why I havent done the no-makeup-photo challenge. If its true curiosity, I was never nominated. My heart reaches out to the few who feel its necessary to attempt calling someone out because they do something good for themself and see it as a negative thing. It seems that many are losing sight of the purpose of the actual challenge. And to be honest, I feel its silly to limit it to someone not wearing makeup. I went to a school with a great gal who is absolutely gorgeous; you would almost have to put her in restraints for her to wear makeup it seems (Rachel Gebauer). Nobody NEEDS makeup, their hair dyed, nails done etc.. Its something we do because it makes us feel good about ourselves. Just as we feed our bodies healthy food, we want to appreciate our bodies physically as well. Shouldnt we be celebrating the liberty of feeling comfortable with ourselves no matter what it takes to reach that? It seems the April Fools Joke is on those who attacked me privately, assuming I wouldnt complete their challenge. Thank you, Kaitlyn Adamic for nominating me this morning; not only in general, but also supporting the cause for Breast Cancer Awareness. Rules state to nominate 3 people. However, I dont feel we need to put anyone on the spot to challenge them, because there are so many who face self esteem issues as a daily challenge, no matter how much makeup they put on. What about men who dont wear makeup and have insecurities? Everyone has the power to do things that make them feel good, as well as to help others feel good. So instead, I ask you to take the time out of your day to tell someone how beautiful they are, whether they have Breast Cancer, or they just may be a little down on themselves. I promise theyll appreciate that a hell of a lot more than likes on facebook.
