It would take extraordinary efforts of my imagination to deny I care, and carry on as per usual as though our moment for emancipation is not upon us. The greatest contradiction local to American capitalism is the systematic denial of any constitutionally enshrined place for Black people and Native Americans in the modern Republic. This is reinforced through the abuse of power and deadly force. The second greatest contradiction lies in the fact that US cultural imperialism fundamentally altered international proletarian culture, and brought us closer together in its portrayals of itself and its people as progressive and Black. This capacity to successfully fail to cope with reality is known as bad faith: the false narrative that creates cognitive dissonance, to justify refusing to participate in necessary behavioural and social change.
