Italian pianist Roberto Poli in a live performance of Chopins whimsical Tarantelle in A-flat Major, Op. 43. Mr. Poli is part of and extraordinary cast of performers at The Rivers School Conservatory during The 2014 Chopin Symposium. On the evening of Sunday, June 29, he will impersonate Chopin in Square d’Orléans: an evening at Chopins salon - a reenactment of a gathering of artists at the composers home in Paris in 1847. Featured on the program are Chopins Barcarolle and Polonaise Fantaisie; excerpts from the Mazurkas, Op. 59, the Nocturnes, Op. 62, and the Cello Sonata, Op. 65; arias from Bellinis Norma and Donizettis Lucrezia Borgia; and excerpts from Mozarts four-hand sonatas. For the occasion, Roberto Poli is joined by Barbara Quintiliani, soprano; Gila Goldstein, piano; and Mickey Katz, cello.
