Its 4am, and Im sitting on the kitchen floor trying to comfort my extremely anxious big baby, Red. He is an outside dog, but due to the frigid temp, we brought him inside. He is Terrified to be inside... Heavy breathing, trembling, the whole bit. He has a nice big heated dog house on the covered deck off the kitchen, but would not stay in it tonight. He is on guard duty most nights and patrols the back yard keeping the local wildlife at bay. Al checked on him at 2am and discovered him sitting in the yard at the fence facing the woods. When he called for him, Red appeared shortly after breathing very deeply and labored and covered in ice. He is warm now, but panting anxiously. I need tips on dealing with dog anxiety. I have tried essential oils and massage. Help!!
