Its Adopt a Less Adoptable Pet Week! Well, at least, according to Petfinder. In that spirit, meet Poppett! Now, Poppett is a perfectly fine dog, but she classifies as less adoptable because shes not tiny and fluffy, and she is SMART. Were not talking knows-how-to-sit smart, rather, knows-how-to-open-any-door-in-the-house-including-the-refrigerator smart. Shes looking so happy in the picture because she wore herself out finding every single toy hidden under anything in the office, all in less than 10 minutes! Poppett was found as a stray running on a local golf course, so we can only guess what her history is. From what we have seen, she seems to have been raised as an indoor dog with plenty of toys. She is quite playful but also has good inside manners, other than trying to open cabinets, and she knows basic commands. We believe she might have been an only pet in a home without young kids, and that would be an ideal situation for her. She is also very athletic, and can catch a ball in mid-air, so if you are looking for a dog to do tricks with, she has some real potential!
