Its Christmas Eve and as we spend the day with family and friends, leaders of the 1st Infantry Division spent the day with their Soldiers in Iraq. Maj. Gen. Paul E. Funk II, commanding general of the 1st Inf. Div. and the Combined Forces Land Component Command–Iraq, visited Soldiers throughout the division’s area of responsibility Dec. 24. Funk, along with Big Red One senior noncommissioned officer Command Sgt. Maj. Michael A.
