Its Dads 83rd birthday today, the first birthday that hes celebrated in ICU. I got him a double LP (old school vinyl for you kids) of his favourite comedian from when he was growing up, eleventy billion years ago. His eyes lit up when he opened it and he said This takes me back to the trips to my Grandmothers place, listening to the radio. Id be lying if I said I didnt have a lump in my throat at that stage, but covered it nicely with Shit Dad, they had electricity back then?. He called me a little shit and normality was been restored. Getting Dad a recording of his favourite comedian, who, for the comedy buffs is Roy Rene (aka Mo McCakie), for his birthday was another really nice way for our lives to intersect. There was a bit of a theme for his other presents, being his beloved Bunnies. We cant agree on everything. Happy birthday Paw. 84 better not be in a bloody hospital!
