Its Dog Bite Prevention week. Here are three simple steps to safely meet a dog. Stop at step 2 if the dog shows any of the following: -nervous licking, ears held back, becoming very still and rigid -Growling -Curling lips -Showing teeth -Snarling (combination of showing teeth and curling lips) Most dogs will give you warning signs before biting - they dont really want to bite but may be reaching their tolerance for a situation that is making them uncomfortable. Remember to always respect a dogs personal space and observe their body language. Spread the word to keep your friends and family safe!
