Its Donna here again. I celebrated my 60th birthday this week & many of you sent such wonderful greetings. I want to thank you so much for those. I had a wonderful birthday celebration this summer w/ my high school girlfriends from Kailua, Hawaii as we all celebrated 60! This was topped off recently by a surprise celebration w/ my Anchorage girlfriends (Bunco buds) & dear friend, Oscar. Later this week, I will also celebrate w/ more family & my first Alaska friends from the 1970s in Valdez. What a journey all we ladies have been on as we have shared so many celebrations & sadnesses. Marriages, births, graduations, reunions, anniversaries, divorces, illness, losses of children, spouses, friends, siblings & parents. So much happiness & yet such sorrow. But together we have learned that those things that do not break us make us stronger. And for that I celebrate each of you and thank you for the everlasting, simply amazing friendships we have shared. I know this is a long post but I cannot end it without saying that all of my wishes came true. My #1 prayer request for so long was answered & I had the best birthday ever! A dear family member w/a rare illness was @ the mercy seat of deaths door & received the absolute miracle of a double lung transplant! I cant stop rejoicing! It makes me ever mindful to start each morning by giving thanks for yet another day with my family, friends, good health & the blessing of living in the greatest state in the greatest country on this truly amazing planet. Thank you for remembering me on this 60th year milestone. Life is good & the blessings are without end! Amen & amen!
