Its Friday, its the start of the weekend and its time to start plotting your nights of entertainment, so to help you along heres tonights gig guide: Bedlington 1. Planet Earth - Ultimate Live 80s Tribute are entertaining The Market Tavern tonight - we all have a soft spot for the 80s, so get yourself along for a night of regressive memories thatll leave a lasting impression on you for the weekend. Blyth 1. Green Days are the live act at The Blyth & Tyne tonight - a cracking live venue putting some great bands on and weve no doubt tonight will be another cracking night. Bishop Auckland 1. Lovehunter is playing at The Merry Monk giving everyone a blast of classic British rock artist Whitesnake - followed by Rock Pit (right bar tonight lol) and his classic disco night. This is bound to be another classic night out in Bishop Auckland, so get yourself along. Chester le Street 1. The Ballbreakers are bring their brand of rock to The Tavern - some of the best played rock out there at present, so if you love your rock in your face then this is a must see gig. Consett 1. Stephs The club that rocks have yet another band filled night tonight with Digits, Nic Wood, Mixfitz International & Looking for Colours all providing tonights entertainment. Its going to be a Jam packed night in Consett and well worth a look in. Crook 1. Russ Tippins (Electric Band) and is playing at the Travellers Rest. Get along for a great night of original music that will leave you wanting more. East Boldon 1. Contraband are playing at Sleepers - playing a cracking set of Hendrix, Gary Moore, Bad Company, Thin Lizzy and a lot more to boot, get a long for a great night of rock. Gateshead 1. Tommy and the Oddballs are at The Aletaster tonight - long established band playing a mix of 60s through to 90s tracks. Get yourself along for a cracking night of entertainment. 2. Acoustic Weller are playing The Three Tuns Hebburn 1. Another night of cheesy rock from the best Bon Jovi tribute band around tonight at Wardles Bar followed by their other incarnation The Kill playing some cracking tracks from the 80s, 90s and Nowsies - well worth checking out and a night packed full of entertainment ahead. Hartlepool 1. For some high octane blooze good times boogie get along to The Marine Hotel and catch Ezee Goin - slowly working their way north and we hope to catch them in the future so we can add them to our bands photo album and add a review. Houghton 1. this machine are getting nose bleeds way down south in Houghton, hopefully giving a cracking warm up for tomorrow nights gig that we will be attending. If youre in the Houghton area then definitely get along to Buffalos Rock to catch one of the best live acts around, playing a cracking mix of 80s & 90s and earlier rock tracks with songs from AC/DC, Poison, Cinderella, Buckcherry, the stones and more. Killingworth 1. The Skatoons are at Thestationpub tonight - for a night of Bad Manners, The Clash and more ska from one of (if not the) best ska bands around. Newcastle 1. The Star Inn, Newcastle upon Tyne has Media Junkies playing a full set of rock to get addicted to, so get along and get addicted. Newton Aycliffe 1. If you head out most weekends to catch a live act and you think it looks easy and you could do it just as well if not better, then why not head along to Turbinia Rock who have their open mic night tonight from 8.00...... go on .... live the dream. Robin Hood Bay 1. Trilogy are playing at The Grosvenor - playing a good mix from across the ages and genres of music and tonight raising money for Alzheimers Association - so haul ass and get along. South Shields 1. Rocking Trocaderos tonight are Thyn Lizzy - a brilliant Thin Lizzy/Phil Lynott tribute band that are one of the best around. Get along for a cracking night out. or if youre not a Thin Lizzy fan then 2. The Force are playing at The Office - an excellent band of skilled musicians playing rock right back to its foundations. Get along to support a great band and live music venue. Stanley 1. American Girl is at the Hilltop - For an eye catching night of entertainment from one of the best looking acts in the North East (and she can sing and play a bit too) then this is one cracking gig not to miss. Whitley Bay 1. The Fat Ox are playing host the the Hairy Beavers tonight - not seen them, so if you get to the gig send us a review..... but well be at The Fat Ox tomorrow night. I think that pretty much wraps it up for tonight, with gigs from all way in the deep South all the way up to the North theres no excuse to not get out and support a live band at a live music venue.... use them or lose them.
