Its July 3, 2014 and it has already started every muscle in my body is tight and tense my neck and shoulders are killing me and the meds that are supposed to let me sleep are not working. So Dear Lord please wrap your arms around all the officers assigned to EDU and the others that are assigned Downtown regularly and for this weekend. Keep them close and let no harm come to them. I pray that the citizens that attend events Downtown will be on their best behavior and even the ones that are not I would ask that whatever interaction takes place with POLICE OFFICERS is done in a manner where respect is shown and that the situation can be resolved with out arrest or physical altercation. These officers work hard all year long to protect the citizens, tourist and the downtown area and this night is a night of great loss and remembrance. May God grant us the ability to get through this night without incident and bless the whole weekend which is one of the busiest weekends of the year. To the citizens if the officers ask you to leave please just do it. It is not worth going to jail to try to prove a point to your girl or all your buddies as you will lose. To the off-duty police DO NOT COME DOWNTOWN AND ACT AN ASS CLOWN EDU has a reputation for handling that in a way that is not favorable to you. If you drink to much find an EDU Officer and ask for help and they will make sure you get home safe. If your scared to do that find one of them have them call me and I will come take you home do not ruin your career or bring bad press to the department. WE ARE IN THE FIGHT OF OUR LIVES AND WE DONT NEED NEGATIVE PRESS.
