Its Kwanzaas Day 7, Called IMANI, or Faith, Which in short, urges us To embrace struggle with Grace. IMANI remembers The strength of our belief. It was Who shared the waters, When Katrina ran deep. It was Who voted and fought, For our Black President. Imani knew Congress Wasnt going for it. Imani-filled protestors Fill up our streets, And demand cops do justice While walking their beats. Through IMANI we challenged Police to do better, And discovered that Justice And the Klan go together. Imani reminds us That Gods on our side. Its the promise Eternal; Its the source of Black Pride. Praying that a united faith in the righteousness of our struggle continues to light the way. IMANI 2014.
