Its Mike Keenan here and we have put on the weather and some great events for you this weekend as you come home to visit. The Sand Dunne Classic will kick off this morning at Hokitika beach,it’s the 27th year and 47 teams had entered as of last night. Today and tomorrow the Hokitika Axeman Association has its 100th Celebration Event cass square. The West Coasts very own Adam Lowe is the current 375mm standing block world champion. The Mountain man and Goat Race over the Croesus Track started at 6.30am and why don’t we all head for the Blake town lagoon this afternoon to see the competitors finish. On Sunday St Marys Parish in Hokitika has a special remembrance day for miners and their families.
