Its Monday athletes! If you are monitoring your weight - dont get on that scale today! No self sabotage on Monday after a weekend of training. Often, it may appear that you have gained weight (depending on the type, intensity, frequency) but its simply your body a bit puffy from a natural response to exercise and trying to maintain hydration status. Several hormones are released during exercise, one of which helps regulate fluid status, and this is an anti-diuretic, which sometimes causes us to retain water. So - avoid the scale!
