Its National Nutrition Month - whats in your cart? Be sure to include: Lean Meats: Fresh or frozen. Plenty of Vegetables: The more varied the better. Healthy Fats: Avocados, olive/almond/coconut oil, or flaxseed/grape seed oil. Any nuts/seeds, raw/ lightly roasted and unsalted; or any nut butters. Some Fruit: Any whole fresh fruit (not juice) in moderation. Legumes/Beans: Especially for vegans & vegetarians Dairy: Milk, cream, butter, Fage yogurt, cheese, etc. Naturally occurring grains: Quinoa, steal cut oats, oatmeal, Ezekiel bread, brown rice, millet, kamut, faro, spelt, and buckwheat. Be sure to add nutrient packed “power” foods: Almonds, Avocado, Broccoli, Hemp Seed, chia seeds, flax seeds, Pistachios, Sweet & red Potatoes, Spinach, Walnuts.
