Its OK to be scared. I Am Genie is in the midst of planning the biggest thing weve ever done. In approximately a month well head to New York and attempt to grant 30 wishes to 30 people fighting Cancer in 3 days. It will all be filmed as the first episode of our Genie reality show. The pressure of thinking about everything that needs to be done to make this a success got to me. The moment I woke up there was this ongoing fear based stream of thought in my head telling me I cant do it. Its too big. Who do you think you are? Whenever these thoughts visit me, I feel compelled to reread one of my favourite quotes by Marianne Williamson saying “Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people wont feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine, as children do. We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. Its not just in some of us; its in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.” Today, push through any fears that may come up. Everything youve ever wanted is on the other side.
