Its October and National Breast Cancer Awareness Month is underway, THE MODERN HONOLULU is participating in efforts to contribute to research to find a cure with special pink themed menu items and events. For the second consecutive year, funds raised will go to The Keep a Breast Foundation. Here are a few ways locals on Oahu, neighbor island residents eager for a “staycation,” as well as those visiting the islands can contribute through October: THE STUDY BAR: One dollar from the sale of each of the three “Pink inspired” specialty cocktails served in The Study will be donated. Leading the list is the “Pink Panther” which blends Prosecco, St. Germain Elderflower liquor and Grenadine. Other menu items include Guava Lychee Cakes. SUNRISE & SUNSET POOLS: Guests sitting poolside can also get in on the action with one dollar from the purchase of all Strawberry Margaritas, La Moderna Paloma cocktails, and white peach sorbet being donated.
