Its Official ... Time has come to change my brand from Experience Certainty >> to >> High Performance.Delivered. >>>> I would be working as an Usability Analyst for an Experience Design Studio of Accenture. Thanks to my batch mate at CUA Classes who helped me out with this transition. After months of cribbing about TCS & its RMG and Bureaucracy , having taken efforts to get certified in Usability Analysis, I want to take time out to write one final post about TCS. I wish to touch upon things I could have known while joining TCS or any first job for that matter. I wish I had know that 1.) If you are keeping yourself strong at your skills , there wouldnt be any need to visibly try to impressing top management or convince them of your potential.Your market value will continue to remain high and that should be enough to keep you driving ahead. 2.) Knowing about huge organizations(specially the India Incs) and their style of working and TCS style of working like a government organization with lazy old higher ups unwilling to be aggressive at work, just wanting to add years to work life and not life, zeal & enthu into their years. 3.) You cant change organizations as big as TCS.You can may be change yourself to fit in the company of your choice by suitably upgrading your skills. 4.) Finding what you love early is very important, else you will keep jumping roles inside the organization with an unclear mind, which delays your promotion.Specialists are any day better than Switch Hitters! 5.) Choose your First Job wisely.First Job and First Love are difficult to erase from your memory and the experience you get out of it largely shapes your thought in your life ahead. 6.) There is more to life than just work.Knowing when to switch off and switch on your professional life is a key lesson to be learnt. Thanks to all my friends and family who have been supportive during my tougher times in life , tolerative of my innumerable cribs about TCS and life in Facebook! and say BE > YOU IMAGINED :)
