Its Saturday night and I am analyzing data for benchmarks, grading - TopicsExpress

Its Saturday night and I am analyzing data for benchmarks, grading tests for SLTs, making lesson plans for next week, trying to write SLTs, emailing people back, and grading papers. This is too much for even the most organized person. No matter the HOURS after 3 I put in, Im never caught up. Teaching is not teaching. When and why did this happen? I know I am a great teacher, but I am drowning in paperwork and assessments. Not sure how much more I or my students can take of this. I love my students and I love teaching, when I get the opportunity to do so, but I feel like all I do is assess students. This system is messed up. Having students tested over and over again and expecting different results..... Sounds like the definition of insanity to me. What are we REALLY doing here people?
